	Tir Conaill Academy teaching in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, and opening a new class in Albuquerque, New Mexico! see Classes for details The Tir Conaill Academy of Irish Dance first opened its doors in Tucson in January of 2005, under the direction of Christopher McGrory, TCRG and Rosemary Browne, TCRG. Since that time, dancers have been streaming in at a steady pace! In the summer of 2007, the Tir Conaill Academy had the opportunity to merge with the McElligott-Gallagher School of Irish Dance in Phoenix, directed by Irish dance standout and Riverdance lead, Michael Patrick Gallagher, now ADCRG. As both male teachers are native to County Donegal in Ireland, it was natural to call the entire school TIR CONAILL, which is the ancient name for that part of Ireland. Recently the school has had an opportunity to expand its classes to include Albuquerque, New Mexico, where things have been getting underway with incredible support from the local Irish community. The Tir Conaill Academy is a happy place where students work hard and have fun while learning the art of Irish dancing. The students have many opportunities to demonstrate their dancing skills, whether they are performing for various local functions or competing in Irish dance contests, called feiseanna, in Arizona, on the west coast, across North America and Canada, and at the World Championships.
Our Mission Statement: The Tir Conaill Academy of Irish Dance is dedicated to promoting Irish culture throughout the southwestern United States, through excellent instruction in the art of Irish dance.
